LITCO’s Bulk Milk Cooler is an efficient Storage Unit with cooling facility for storing and transporting milk in order to prevent bacteria formation and milk souring.

Consumption of milk has increased drastically over the few decades hence efficient storage and transporting of the milk is of maximum importance or else the milk can go sour. This is exactly where Bulk Milk Coolers fulfills the criteria of not only storing the liquid but also maintaining a temperature of 4ºC or below which is most important to maintain the hygienic standards. With the help of research undertaken by scientists, 4ºC has been found to be the temperature below which bacteria formation in the milk can be prevented by constricting the chemical composition of the milk.

Bulk Milk Coolers, also called Bulk Milk Chillers are well designed with material ofAISI 316/304 Vessel and a stirring mechanism. To maintain the temperature close to 0ºC, a refrigeration unit is attached to the Vessel which consisting of a holding compressor and condenser, the temperature well belowhygienic standards of 4ºC can be maintained. The cooling capacity of the refrigeration Unit is determined by the capacity of the Bulk Milk Coolers.

Usually, three variants of Bulk Milk Coolers are offered considering the capacity and application,

• Open Top Vertical Cylindrical Cooler
• Semi-Cylindrical Horizontal Cooler
• Fully Enclosed Horizontal Cooler

An agitator with a stirring mechanism is provided usually as a top entry. The stirring mechanism comprises of a TEFC Motor with a gearbox assembly, depending upon the capacity and viscosity of the liquid to be stirred. It is made to intermittently to maintain uniformity of the chilling milk so that thecold temperature homogeneously distributes throughout the vessel.

This not only improves storage but mainly transportation as the milk needs to cover large distances to the consumer.
