When it comes to Cream production, the difference between Pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic Cream and Cosmetic Cream is that in Pharmaceutical or Ayurvedic Cream a medicinal reagent is added separately.

WORKING PRINCIPLE OF CREAM MANUFACTURING PLANT
The cream manufacturing facility is made up of a Wax Phase Vessel/ Melting Reactor with a Stirrer or turbine-type Agitator with Cowles disc, a Water Vessel Vessel with stirrer and a Manufacturing Vessel with anchor and counter-rotating blades mounted in the centre and an emulsifier at the bottom of the tank. The Wax Phase Vessel which is typically preheated to 80ºC, is where the fats and waxes are put initially. Depending on the cream’s manufacturing procedure and kind, a different process temperature is used. The manufacturing vessel is heated either by adding water at the proper operating temperature or by introducing heated water from the water phase vessel while the fats and waxes are melting and mixing. The active ingredient, additives, etc. are all manufactured simultaneously. Finally, a continual, regulated flow of the mixture from the Wax Vessel is sent to the Manufacturing Vessel while under vacuum. The emulsifier and counter-rotating agitator ought to have already been running. The product is stirred without the emulsifier for a little while after transfer is finished. The agitator speed is decreased after the cooling process has begun, and if required, the active ingredient and any additives are introduced at the proper temperature. The mixture is moved into the Storage Vessel unit under vacuum and kept there, with very slow in-line or sequential agitation, at a constant temperature of 30ºC until packing. A lobe rotor transfer pump is used to move the product to the packing machine. A Metering Pump can also be used to send the finished product into the Hopper in order to control the flow and accuracy of the cream.
SALIENT FEATURES
- All material transfers are done by vacuum ensuring zero retention in pre-phase vessel and inter-connecting pipeline.
- Manufacturing vessels have opening arrangement of top dish hydraulically operated.
- Top/bottom mounted mixer is with arrangement with SS 316 anchor with mirror polish along with PTFE arranged baffles/scrapper.
- High speed homogenizer is provided at bottom arrangement with mechanical seal.
- Choice of various type of anchor design. Open top with top Entry Agitator Cowl disc type or paddle, or Close top with top/bottom entry Agitator Cowl disc type or propeller type stirrer.
- Load Cell for fast & accurate measuring system of Filled Vessel quantity.
- All the Vessels are CGMP standard (paint free construction).
- All contact parts are made of SS 316 grade and non-contact parts SS 304.
- All pipelines are joined with Tri-clover ended Joints assuring safe and smooth transport.
- The gaskets used are of Silicon (food grade) to avoid contamination.
- All pipe, pipe-fittings and valves are SS 304/ SS316 grade as per Customer requirement.
- The entry of stirrer can be from top or bottom as per requirement.
- The In-line Homogenizer or In-line Colloidal Mill provided as per Customer requirement.
- Mechanical Seal is provided at the Stirrer Entry to prevent back-flow and contamination.
- CIP & SIP online are provided within the closed circuit as per Customer’s Requirement.
- VFD for Anchor agitators to vary the RPM as per Recipe and required process.
- PLC with HMI Touchscreen with CFR 21 Part 11 complied with SCADA for fully Automatic Control & Processing.
