LITCO’s indigenously designed and developed Decoction Vessel is one of a kindwhich fulfills the need for Ayurvedic, Herbal and Homeopathic Industry to extract essential oils from natural and organic herbs.

The Decoction Vessel is a Vessel that allows extraction of the essential oil which is then further processed to obtainthe required Oil based product. Decoction describes the process of extracting the essence of a material by heating, and LITCO’s Decoction Vessel executes the process to high efficiency. It also allows easy input and removal of the herbs without disturbing the condition of the process.  It is capable of processing Herbs such as Ashwagandha, Triphala, Boswellia, Turmeric, Brahmi, Cumin.

LITCO manufactures differently sized Decoction Vessels as per Customer’s requirements. The Jacketed Vessel is specially manufactured in SS 304/ SS 316/ SS 316L material with mirror or matte finishing from outside. The Inside of the Tank is mechanically polished with a RA 0.5 surface roughness. It is provided with a manhole, light glass, pressure gauges, safety valves, Clean-In-Place nozzle, Sterile-In-Place nozzle and other inlet and outlet nozzles as required. For CIP and SIP systems, the vessels are equipped with high quality spray balls for cleansing the residual material after each operation. The Jacket is insulated with glass wool to protect users from heat and accidents.

The accessories of the Vessels are also provided in SS 304/ SS 316/ SS 316L material ensuring contamination and corrosion free operation. The Vessels are sturdily designed to accommodate temperatures of up to 175ºC and pressure up to 6 Kg/cm².

Usually heating takes place with a water jacket or other suitable fluid can also be used. The water is heated with an electrical heater or with the help of steam, if available within its proximity.
