Working Principle Of Zero Hold Up Filter Press

The Filter Press works with the help of a Centrifugal Pump. The dome shaped structure comprises of cake filter aid and solids like cartridge assembly which efficiently filters hazardous and toxic liquids. Here the direction of flow of liquid is exactly opposite to the flow of in standard filters ie. the impure liquid to be filtered enters the filter from the bottom into the center channel and reaches the top of each plate. The clear filtrate flows out from openings on side of plates to the shell and then to the outlet. Since the flow of liquid is in the reverse direction hence it ensure zero hold up in the filter press and almost 100% filtration compared to standard filters.
